Private Jets Colorado arranges flights for clients who travel with a security detail, and we can coordinate bodyguards and armored ground transport to meet the aircraft in Colorado and at your destination.
Security on the ground
A private flight already keeps you out of the public terminal. The drive to and from the aircraft is where most of the planning goes, and that is the part we help arrange. We can book armored vehicles and protection staff to meet you on the ramp, or work alongside your own security team and the provider they use at the other end.
For trips in and out of the Denver area, Centennial and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan both handle private flights well away from the airline terminals at Denver International. For a mountain arrival at Aspen, Eagle County or Telluride, please give us as much notice as you can, so the ground team has time to get the vehicles in place before you land.
Counting everyone on board
Protection staff take seats like any other passenger, and two or three extra people can change which aircraft fits the trip. When you ask for a quote, give us the full traveling party along with the principal, and mention any equipment the team plans to carry. Some of it affects which operators will accept the flight, so it helps to know before we start the search.
Keeping the details private
We only share passenger names and the itinerary with the operator and the crew assigned to your flight. If a trip is sensitive, say so on the first call, and we will handle the arrangements with that in mind from the beginning.
On international trips, the rules on armed personnel and their equipment change from country to country, so raise it early and your advisor will confirm what the operator and the destination will allow. Our page on celebrity and VIP charter covers how we handle high-profile passengers.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Colorado-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Every Colorado airport sits at high elevation, and the right one depends on where you are going once you land. Around Denver, Centennial and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan are the usual choices for a private flight, but Centennial limits aircraft to 70,000 lb maximum takeoff weight, so the largest jets use Denver International. In the mountains, Eagle County serves Vail and Beaver Creek, Yampa Valley Regional in Hayden serves Steamboat, and Telluride has a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Aspen limits aircraft to a 95 ft wingspan, and its airport will close to all aircraft from April 4th to November 19th, 2027 for runway reconstruction. Thin air and heat change how much runway an aircraft needs, and that is the operator’s call on the day. Winter brings de-icing, summer thunderstorms can hold departures at Denver, and customs is available at Denver International, Colorado Springs, Centennial, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan and Eagle County.
